In order to enrich the research culture in Mathematics and its applications, a CENTRE FOR TOPOLOGY AND APPLICATIONS (CETA) has  been established at RSET. CETA will promote research in Topology, Dynamical Systems, Morphology, Fractals, Graph Theory, Operator Theory and related areas. The existing collaborations in Mathematics research with institutions in India and abroad will be strengthened and formalized by CETA. 

The activities of CETA will be supported by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM). The upcoming International Workshop and Conference on Topology and Applications (IWCTA) is the first step of CETA towards  launching the three year continuous research programmes with IIT Delhi and University of Hyderabad in India, and various institutions in USA, UK, Germany, France, Russia, Japan, Australia, Hungary, Ukraine and Spain. DST and NBHM are supporting IWCTA financially.
