About CNITSS
The main objective of CNITSS is to act as the nodal centre for all the information technology resources of the Institute. It involves design, installation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure including the network, software resources and IT enabled services and facilities. CNITSS also provide the staff training, user support and consulting services to user departments and external clients on demand.
CNITSS responsibilities are

  • A single point of contact for the campus network and networked services
  • Provide a highly available campus network and networked services, including Internet access
  • Ensure that the networked services perform satisfactorily and consistently
  • Upgrade the Network and services with the availability of the new technologies
  • Coordinate and Deliver Facility Management services to end users on campus

Software Development Unit
Rajagiri Software Development Unit has been formed to fulfill all the software needs of RSET. The group helps RSET with requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, vendor validation, outsourcing, negotiations etc. The group which is headed by the faculty has faculty and software developers as its members. The group also employs RSET students who are capable of contributing to the appropriate activities of the group. The students thus get an opportunity to work on real projects which are later put in to use.
Some of the software the group has worked on and is in use are the RSET website and associated framework for automating the same, Rajagiri Students Management System, RSET email servers, RSET Digital Library, RSET Payroll Management System, RSET Online Examination System, Language lab, Admission automation, Exam automation, and Maintenance Management System, along with other consultancy work.
