CONSULTANCY
Department offers consultancy services in various areas including industrial and research purposes. The expertise of faculty members is exploited to extend the link beyond academics. Many extension activities are carried out in collaboration with NGOs, Local and Government bodies. Department has done testing of various materials for industries including Southern Railways. Under the World Bank aided scheme, the department had successfully completed planning, analysis and design of hospitals, bus terminals etc at Alappuzha. Department has also taken the lead role in providing technical advice for the CARe Kerala Project an initiative of government of Kerala to rehabilitate the flood affected community of Ernakulam Region.
The Environmental Engineering laboratory has been certified as 'C grade commercial purpose category laboratory' by Kerala State Pollution Control Board for water and waste water testing. The department offers assessment and consultancy services related to water and waste water quality analysis.
