Dr.Ramkumar P.B completed his graduation from St.Albert’s College ,Ernakulam ,took his M.Sc Degree in Mathematics from Cochin University of Science & Technology ,Cochin in 1999 . He took his Ph.D Degree in Technology from the same university in 2012 . The title of his thesis is ‘A Study of Morphological Operators with their Applications ‘ .

He is GATE qualified . His areas of interest include Mathematical Morphology , Graph Theory , Digital Topology , Fractals and Lattice theory . He has published articles in various International Journals.

Dr. Ramkumar has worked as lecturer at various departments of School of Engineering ,Cochin University of Science and Technology during 2000-2003 . He has taught Computational Mathematics for M.Tech Atmospheric Sciences and M. Sc Oceanography .  He also taught Engineering Mathematics for B. Tech at CUSAT .  He worked as lecturer in Quantitative Techniques at ICFAI Business School (MAGNUS ) ,Kochi during 2003 -2005.He worked as Assistant Professor at RSET from January 2005 to February 2014. He has taught Engineeering Mathematics papers at Graduate and Post Graduate level . He was the Head of the department of Basic Sciences during 2010 - 2014. He also coordinated  the S1S2 Programme .He worked as Associate Professor at ASIET Kalady from  2014 March to 2015 May. He worked as Assistant Professor at St. Albert’s College, Ernakulam from 2015 June to 2016 May. He rejoined RSET in June 2016. He is working as Associate Professor in Mathematics. He is guiding 5 Ph.D students under KTU.
