Prathibha P K did her M.Tech in Power system at College of Engineering Trivandrum in 2010 under the Kerala University. She did her B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics engineering at Government Engineering College, Thrissur in 2007 under the Calicut University. She joined Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology in 2010 as Assistent Professor in the EEE department.

Her areas of interests are Electric Vehicles, Renewable energy resources and Smart Grid Technologies.

Presently she is doing her Ph.D. in the “Performance Analysis of Electric Vehicles” under the guidance of Dr. Elizabeth Rita Samuel, Associate Professor, DEE, RSET under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

She is the Principal Investigator for a KTU CERD Research Seed Money funded project titled “Parametric Modelling and Analysis of Electric Vehicle (EV) for optimized performance”.
Also she is the Principal Investigator for a KTU CERD funded B.Tech project titled “Solar powered Smart Irrigation System” and a Co-PI for a AICTE MODROB funding of “Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Lab”.

She received the IEEE Outstanding Branch Chapter Advisor Global award 2021 with a Reward of 150 US dollars.

She is the Staff Advisor IEEE PES chapter, RSET- Outstanding student branch Award, Silver plaque 2020 - RSET SB

1) Co-ordinator of 5 days certification course on “Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Engineering” at RSET from 3rd-7th August 2020.
2) Organizing committee member of one week AICTE sponsored STTP on “Outcome Based Education for Technical Institutions Phase - III: Outcome Based Education & Accreditation” at RSET from 10th- 16th December 2020.
3) Course Co-ordinator of a KTU sponsored 5 days FDP on “Advances in Electric Vehicle Technology” at RSET from July 8th to 12th 2019.
4) Co-ordinator of One day International workshop on “Green and Renewable Energy applications” at RSET on 2nd November 2016.
5) Co-ordinator of two-day Intensive International workshop on “Solar photovoltaic power systems for residential, commercial and off-grid applications” at RSET on 22nd and 23rd July 2015.
