Ms. Sonia Paul completed her graduation in English from St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam; took her M.A in English Language and Literature from the University of Kerala; and has done her M.Phil from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal. She completed her PhD in English from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam in 2015. She holds a post graduate degree in Religion and Philosophy from Madurai Kamaraj University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from IGNOU. She has also completed a one-year course on the Upanishads from Chinmaya International Foundation. 

Having qualified the UGC-NET right after her post-graduation in 2000, she has a teaching experience of more than two decades, and has worked in RSET since 2002, training the students in different aspects of language and communication skills. She handles the courses Life Skills and Professional Ethics.

Her areas of interest include ELT focusing on development of writing skills; Positive Psychology; Religion especially study of the Christian and Hindu traditions; and Philosophy, specifically Ethics. She also proofreads and edits research theses, journal and conference papers in science and engineering, and humanities.
