DEEKSHARAMBHAM 2022 - INSTRUCTIONS TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS

• First year classes for B.Tech and M.Tech students (2022 admissions) will begin on October 31, 2022 with the course initiation ceremony, Deeksharambham 2022.

               Reporting Time: 8.30 a.m.
Reporting Venue: K.E. Block, Rajagiri Campus, Kakkanad

• Participation is mandatory.
• Holy Mass will be celebrated at Chavara Hall, Rajagiri Campus, Kakkanad at 8.20 a.m. Those who are attending the mass are requested to be seated in Chavara Hall before 8.15 a.m.
• Kindly plan to arrive at the campus ahead of time to avoid heavy traffic and possible roadblock.
• Parking facilities will be arranged at the college ground. All are requested to cooperate with the security personnel.
• Students should be accompanied by their parents/guardians – preferably only two adults.
• Students should bring a pen and a stamp-size photograph. Kindly avoid bringing college bags and other belongings.
• Students are requested to preferably wear pastel colours/lighter shades for the programme. Students are to ensure that they are well-groomed and presentable in appearance.
• Class teachers will interact with parents after the official programme to provide important information. Hence, parents are requested to attend the programme on October 31, 2022.
• Students and parents who wish to avail the college bus facility on the day of Deeksharambham may take note of the starting points and timings for the day:
• Aluva  7:40 a.m.
• Vyttila 7:40 a.m.
• Kaloor 7:45 a.m.
• Please check the college website regularly for updates.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

• Class timings – 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
• Till uniforms are available, boys to wear shirt and trousers/jeans, and girls to wear salwar kameez/kurti with pants/jeans, and shawl/stole. Formal footwear.

NOTE: T-shirts, distressed jeans, leggings, and sleeveless tops are not permitted.

• Details of textbooks and record books will be provided by the course teachers once classes begin.
• There will be a mandatory Student Induction Programme for B.Tech students from November 1 to 4, 2022. Attendance is compulsory.
• B.Tech students are required to purchase Non-programmable Scientific Calculator Model – CASIO FX 991 ES/ 991 MS.

Girls
The list of students who have been granted admission to Daya Bhavan Hostel will be published at the hostel office by October 31, 2022. The students have to report to the hostel before 8 p.m. on October 31, 2022.
