Notice No: Date : 07/12/2019 RAJAGIRI SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAMME 2019 (July 22nd
to August 9th, 2019) Introductory Note A two week Student Induction Programme for the first year B.Tech
students (2019 admissions) will be held from July 22nd to August 9th, 2019. This is a
mandatory programme for the B.Tech students, and is being organized following
the guidelines issued by AICTE and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
Students will be given certificates on successful completion of the programme. The objectives of the programme are: (1)
To familiarize the students
with RSET culture and practices (2)
To inculcate human values and
social consciousness (3)
To initiate the mentoring
process (4)
To provide inputs on personal
and professional development (5)
To enhance proficiency in
Mathematics and English (6)
To give an insight into the
various aspects of the B.Tech programme The programme will
feature talks by senior members of the academia and industry and experts from
governmental/non-governmental agencies; activity based sessions on human
values; entrepreneurship development; creative arts; yoga and games;
proficiency modules in Mathematics and English; and introduction to engineering
courses. Apart from this, the induction programme will provide an opportunity
for fostering a closer and meaningful mentor-mentee relationship, which will then
be continued throughout the B.Tech programme. The programme
provides the student with the opportunity to understand the basic requirements
of the profession and the course, and facilitates a seamless transition to
university education. Students stand to positively benefit by actively
participating in this programme.
