Dr. Jiji K S is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with over 30 years of diverse experience in industry, teaching, research, and administrative leadership. Her distinguished career is defined by a unique blend of hands-on industrial experience, senior academic leadership, and specialized research expertise in core electrical engineering.

Professional Experience: 

•  Dean of Research & QIP Coordinator, Government Engineering College, Thrissur (2022-2024): Spearheaded the comprehensive  administrative management of over 130 research scholars, ensuring adherence to university protocols and regulatory standards. Managed the  Quality Improvement Program (QIP) scholars from selection to fellowship administration in collaboration with AICTE. 
•  Faculty, Government Engineering Colleges, Kerala State (1999-2024): Retired as a Professor in Electrical Engineering after a  distinguished 25-year tenure at the Government institutions GEC Thrissur, GEC Palakkad, and RIT Kottayam, enriching students with extensive  knowledge in electrical engineering and allied domains.
•  Engineer, KEL Kasaragod, Government of Kerala (1991-1999): Worked in Design, Quality Assurance, and Materials departments. Gained  expertise in designing 15kVA-1500kVA brushless alternators.

Research Experience:

•  Doctoral Research (2009-2015): Conducted in-depth research on FEM-Based Virtual Prototyping and Design of Third Harmonic Excitation  System for Low-Voltage Brushless Alternators, showcasing expertise in finite element modelling of electro-magnetic systems and comprehensive  design of excitation systems for alternators.
•  Sponsored Research (2019-2023): Secured research funding of Rs. 23 Lakhs under the RPS-NDF scheme of AICTE for a project focused on  Efficiency and Reliability Improvement of Traction Inverter in Electric Vehicles.
•  Research Guidance (2018-Present): Approved as a research supervisor under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (APJKTU), currently  guiding five Ph.D. scholars.

Additionally, Dr. Jiji has served as a member of the Board of Studies for Engineering – PG, constituted by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Currently, she is a member of the Academic Council at Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre, Palakkad, and also serves as a member of the Industry-University (I-U) Chair at Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Co. Ltd. (KEL).
